Henry Buck grew up as a boy in the village of Danby in Yorkshire, earning this shoe its namesake. A cornerstone of any formal wardrobe, this classic English style is consistently our most sought after, with its’ balanced lines, superior fit and fetching good looks.
Danby showcases all the hallmarks of a traditional oxford business shoe, with a cap toe, open vamp and well defined quarters. Though it has a wider fit, Danby has a shapely fit throughout the forefoot which allows it to appear more form fitting- a great benefit next to tailored clothing.
As is the standard of our range, the rich and natural luxury of calf leather from Tanneries du Puy in France, allows the shoe to be worn confidently next to many different textures.
